Overview

Frinder ("we", "our", "the app") is an augmented reality app that lets you see friends and landmarks around you. Your privacy matters to us, and we collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

Information We Collect

Location data: Your device's GPS coordinates are collected to show your position relative to friends and landmarks. Location may be collected in the background if you grant "Always" permission, so your friends can see your updated position.
Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google, used to identify you to your friends.
Device motion data: Gyroscope and accelerometer readings are used locally on your device to determine which direction your phone is pointing. This data is never transmitted.

Data Sharing

Your location is shared only with friends you have mutually connected with in the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

Account and location data is stored using Google Firebase. Location data is updated in real time and not retained historically — only your most recent location is stored.

Firebase Realtime Database: For storing and syncing friend and location data
Google Sign-In: For account authentication

Your Rights

You can stop sharing your location at any time by revoking location permissions in your device settings. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Frinder is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
